Rich with history, The Highlands at Wyomissing^® is proud to continue to serve senior adults locally and beyond.

The Highlands at Wyomissing opened its doors in April 1989 with apartments for those who needed a helping hand with daily activities. Since then, we have grown into a large community of homes and apartments, amenities and services, and so much more.

Residents typically make their move to join our culture, our lifestyle, and our welcoming abundance of friends while still maintaining their active, independent lifestyle. Some who need a higher level of care are also welcome to move directly to one of our Personal Care apartments or to Skilled Nursing. Respite Care is also available for caregivers who need some time for errands or a vacation.

With a reputation for providing exceptional residences and quality health care, we welcome you to see what all the buzz is about surrounding The Highlands at Wyomissing.

For more than 30 years, The Highlands at Wyomissing has remained the only senior living community in Berks County to offer a Type A life care contract.

This means that when you make your move to our community, there is no worry of moving again if you were to need further assistance with health care or daily living. Instead, we promise to be there for you when you need us.

By providing a life care contract with unlimited health care, your monthly service fee will not increase significantly just because you need an extra hand. You can continue your current lifestyle, visiting with friends, and relishing the activities you love.

The Highlands at Wyomissing® is a Continuing Care Retirement Community with homes dotting tree-lined roads and walkways, a fully-equipped fitness center with an indoor, heated salt-water swimming pool, computer center, 5,000-book library, an art studio, billiards room, putting green, and lush garden plots perfect for summer vegetables.

Residents can experience an enhanced future with services designed to make living more convenient and engaging. Allow us to do the cooking with three diverse, delicious dining venues, the event planning with a calendar of on- and off-campus activities, and the cleaning with our housekeeping included. We also can take care of your home maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal for a fee.
